Autism Nexus - APEX Psychology

Dr Janina Szyndler is the Principal Clinical and Developmental Psychologist at Apex. She has over 20 years experience of working with children and their families across a range of settings from multidisciplinary teams to private practice. Janina has always had a strong interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her main skills are in assessment and helping parents to learn strategies to manage their children’s behaviour more effectively. Janina can also offer counselling or individual therapy to parents who are struggling to cope with their child’s diagnosis or who are suffering from depression or anxiety (referral under a GP Mental Health Care Plan).

Services:

· Initial consultation                                                                       $240.00

1 hour session with parents/carers to discuss concerns about child’s behaviour and development.

· Ongoing Psychology Consultations                                      $200.00

One hour consultation with child and/or family/carers.

· Development Assessment for program planning               $545.00

Adaptive behaviour assessment , 1 hour consultation to discuss assessment outcomes & make recommendations for the parents/carers regarding intervention. Copies of the report.
