Dilly Wanderer
The Dilly Wanderer is a FREE community information and development service and mobile child activity service operating year round for residents across the Wollondilly Shire. The service is delivered in partnership with Wollondilly Shire Council.
We provide an environment for parents and caregivers with young children (0-12) to socialise and enjoy a range of activities together.
Families can gain access to information on:
- parenting skills;
- developmental stages of children;
- health issues; and
- community events and services.
Families can join us at any time, in any one of our locations across the Wollondilly Shire. (see Service Timetable for session times.)
The Dilly Wanderer is supported by a:
- Project Coordinator;
- Child Care workers; and
- Volunteers.
What can I Expect?
The Dilly Wanderer welcomes all who attend. At all times children must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and caregivers are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their own children.
We provide a range of age appropriate activities for children and encourage social interaction with all who attend.
Come along to share and gain information about caring for and raising your children.

- Gain access to information, products and services.
- Other service providers are encouraged to support The Dilly Wanderer and may attend these sessions from time to time.
Who is the Service Offered to?
The service if offered to:
- Families who have a baby, toddler or primary school aged child;
- Parents who may be feeling the demands of parenthood;
- Families who are socially isolated or new to the area;
- Parents who have possibly been parenting alone;
- Families who just want to have fun with their children and mix with other adults.
Objectives of the Dilly Wanderer
Objectives of the Dilly Wanderer
- To work in partnership with the local community, service providers and other levels of government to provide a mobile outreach service to isolated rural areas across the Wollondilly Shire.
- To provide a flexible free mobile activity, community information and community development service, including parent support, mentoring, social skill development.
- To provide access to outreach components of local and regional community service providers, information and local and regional services promotion.
