Parents As Teachers

Parents As Teachers is a home visiting program for first time parents and young parents that would like to learn about their child’s development from birth to the age of three years. By understanding what to expect during each age and stage of their child's development, parents can learn how to best encourage their child to grow through everyday activities. Triple P

The positive parenting program is aimed at parents of children aged 2-12 years that would like to learn more about their child’s development at different stages or gain strategies for specific issues such a tantrums, sleeping problems or bullying. The program provides parents with useful information and strategies to assist them in the important job of raising their child. An accredited trainer facilitates this eight week group program with a group of approximately 15 parents. For further information on this program please contact the Migrant Services Manager.
